The Three-Anchor Rule
Every great candy box needs three anchors: flavours you know you love and will reliably reach for. For most people this means one chewy, one sour, and one chocolate-adjacent option.
The anchor candies are not for discovery. They are the safety net that makes the rest of the box feel exciting rather than risky.
The Wild Card Slot
Once your anchors are set, allocate 15–20% of your box weight to something you have never tried. One bag of salmiak if you are salmiak-curious. A flavour you would never buy a full bag of on its own.
This is how you expand your palate without ending up with 500g of something you cannot finish.
What to Avoid
Do not replicate your childhood. If you grew up eating Haribo in the UK, do not fill a Swedish candy box with the closest equivalent. The whole point is the difference.
Similarly, avoid anchoring too heavily on one texture. A box that is 80% chewy is a box that gets boring by Wednesday.
The Kandy Builder
Our builder is designed around this logic. Pick your tier (Splash, Spark, or Storm), then choose by category. The weight counter at the top tells you when you are done.
If you get stuck, the live stream is the best place to discover new things — watching other people react to candy in real time is a remarkably reliable way to find your next favourite.
